T5 Burn In

i'll start off by saying in the 2 years i've been reefing i've always followed through with the 50 hour burn in that ATI recommends for their bulbs. i'm just curious if anyone here just pulls the bulbs from the sleeves and doesn't burn their bulbs in? if so have you noticed any drawbacks?

I just throw 8 new bulbs in once a year. Raise the fixture up to about 12" above the water and leave it there for a week. Then after a week, lower the fixture down to 8" above the water and done. It takes about a week or so for the T5 to fully burn in and the color to stabilize. I run my light 8 hours week days and 9 hours weekends.
