Apex profile question

Are the profiles only for use with the variable speed connections? They can't be used to control outlets just virtual outlets correct?

I didn't explain that too well. All I want to know is if the profiles are only for programming the variable speed ports?

I use various profiles to control my Kessil lights with the VDM module and my vortech pumps with WXM.
