raising no3po4x
I slowly raised the level of no3po4x from 1/4 recommended to full dose over a month; at this point, am I suppose to keep raising it by 1ml every few days until I see a decrease in no3 / po4? or do I keep it consistent at recommended dose ml?

Not per their directions.. the full dose is the full dose and thats it..
You stay at that level and let the magic happen.. Others though (using other forms of carbon dosing...vodka..vinegar,etc...) have increased it till bacterial "snot" is seen then back down some and maintain that dose.. In general its probably best to use the least amount possible.. I would stick with the full dose per red sea directions and see how that goes..

I used nopox successfully for a few years. It does take a while to get going but I'm surprised you don't see any reduction yet. I'd keep going withe the "full" dose for a few more weeks. What are you No3/Po4 levels? If one or other is missing the other may not move much.
You can also ask on the RedSea moderated forum, RedSea reps there do answer Nopox questions, yours is an FAQ. -droog |

Red Sea sponsor forum is no longer there -
According to their manual, "Start with the recommended daily dosage, test the nitrate every week and adjust the dosage until the nitrate level is stable between 1 and 2.5 ppm." I interpreted this as start off with recommended dosage and increase until reduction occurs? |
