Hi i am getting my new 5 foot 400l tank soon and was wondering what dc pumps you are all using need about 3000 lph

I just got a Reef Octopus Varios-4 and love it. It's rated at 1050 GPH though. They do make a smaller one thats rated at 790 GPH

Whats missing from your post is the vertical difference you are wanting to pump water. Thats called the "head pressure" and is important in pump selection/recommendation.. The flow rate is also effected by fittings/smaller plumbing than needed/horizontal runs, (friction) etc.. so if you have to go over 10ft from the sump to the main tank please let us know that..

I have a Jecod/Jebao DCS 9000 on my 100 gallon tank and so far it has been a great pump.
