Seperate Fuge? - any benefits?

I'm collecting equipment for a ~200g build. Sump will be in basement and I have the option to use a sump that has a refugium section OR a smaller sump and a seperate fuge (fed by return pump, gravity drain back to sump).

I would assume there's not a better option between the two but looking for your opinion.

What are the thoughts of having them separated?

1) Can clean sump without draining fuge and housing the macro during cleaning
2) Can select any size fuge I want
3) Comes at an increased cost

Thanks!

The advantage for me is it gives more room for macro to grow in return keeping nitrates low and a safe place for critters so if you have the room go for it i wouldn't do any different

Got it, might as well do it if you have the space.
