why i still have reef aquarium

I've kept reef aquarium since the 80s and its likely some rocks was in my reef since early 90s. About 3 yrs or so i was calling it quits after problems with nitrates and a bout with velvet disease that wipe out my fish. Determine that was it for me with reef aquariums it sat with just coral in it as i contemplated selling corals and keeping cichlids. Eventually i did buy 2 clown fish which i still have and 2 cardinal fish which i still have. I got rid of my remote deep sand bed and went with a small algae scrubber. Algae scrubber made all the difference corals look better no problems with nitrates and i actually do less water changes. Algae scrubber is why i still have reef aquarium. Here is another reason the price setting up a reef later; better off keeping your reef going.
