Setting up
I'm looking to upgrade my 7 gallon reef to a 10 gallon. Would go bigger but thats all that will fit on my desk.
I was wondering what would be a better choice. Either the nuvo 10 or just your standard 10 gallon. The nuvo 10 is nice with the low iron glass and the backchambers but I feel like the chambers can be a pain to clean? Also how much water is actually in the display? The standard 10 won't have the equipment being hidden but will have a larger display area. With the standard I would just do an aquaclear but the nuvo i would most likely get an intank basket. Is the price of the nuvo really worth it over a simple 10 gallon setup? I'm also looking to get an led fixturein the price range of around $150 or less. I'd like to stay away from par bulbs. Any recommendations? Thank you |

IMO.. Go 10G standard tank with nothing but a heater and a powerhead..
There is no need for a filter.. Go 1G water changes every couple days and done.. Do you have corals? If not then any LED light is fine.. Even if you do I would just use one of those cheap ones like this https://www.amazon.com/NICREW-Classi...70_&dpSrc=srch
