If a water pump doesn't say UL will it still trip a GFCI
I bought a cheaper alternative water pump for my scrubber. Its a SUNSUN GRECH CHJ-3000 55 Watt brand and does have 3 prongs on cord. My concern is if it doesn't show it as being UL Listed will it still trip a GFCI circuit if it blows up?

It "should" The UL mark means that it has passed Standards for Safety testing to UL standards.
Absence of the UL mark doesn't mean the product is worse than a UL listed one it just has NOT been tested, so no one knows. |

The gfci doesn't care. As long as power out doesn't match power back in it should trip, since it means its going somewhere else (which is bad).

Of course it will..
A GFCI is only looking for an imbalance of current between the line and neutral in excess of like 5mA or so.. IF that happens the GFCI trips.. It could care less whats causing that imbalance..

Many companies will use ETL versus UL. Also anyone can put UL on their products, you need to see the listed label after UL
