ATO constant drip

I just saw a post about this the other day and I don’t remember what the solution was.

After filling my 20 gal ATO reservoir, the other end, in my sump will continue to drip. I lifted the pump out of the water to break the siphon but it will probably continue once it starts to pump again. I tried lifting the hose in the middle above the water level to see if it made a difference but didn’t.

your ATO line OUTPUT has to be HIGHER than the water level in your ATO reservoir.

So maybe clipping a pvc section to the inside of the sump and putting the end of the hose in there, being higher than the ATO?

Yep, that would work just make sure there is an AIR gap.

I didn't even do the pvc thing, my hose just dangles a couple inches lower than the top of my sump. I do worry that I will someday move something around in there and not notice I knocked the hose out of my sump and end up with 10 gallons of kalkwasser in my cabinet/on my floor.
