Urchin Question Please Read!!
I accidentally knocked my Pincushion Urchin when I was in the tank it lost 8 or 9 spines from me knocking it.... will it be ok? He was on the glass and I hit him with my forearm. he is back on the glass now and seems ok. I feel so bad. He is in great health, I feed him seaweed successfully every other day.
Thank you, he;ley |

Thirty five years ago, as a rig mechanic on offshore semi-submersible drilling rigs, I assisted Barge Engineer with pontoon water level indicator. During a rig move the 70’ diameter pontoons were pumped dry to tow rig. With less than 2’ of freeboard, the Barge Engineer & I were lowered by crane onto pontoon. The pontoon surface was covered with both pencil and pin cushion urchins. I also have urchins in a 1000G Rubbermade tank system buried in the ground. During this winter, pin cushion urchins survived 42 degree water temperature.

I'm far more interested in your name... "he;ley" is that... I'm not sure how you pronounce that nor the origin of that name... Cambodian?
