My new 75 gal!!!
So I've done a few posts so far related to my new 75 gallon that will soon be reef tank, and I have learned so much.
Thanks to anyone who has helped me fix the constant flow of problems that keep falling into my hands. Anyways, thought I'd do a formal post just about the tank as a whole. I've got my live rock and sand in there, a few hermits and snails, an a Royal Gramma Dotty plus to Cardinals. I also just got two O Clowns, currently in 30g quarantine. Wasn't up for drilling, also before I even knew I needed a sump (regretting this) so have a HOB PVC overflow going to 10 gallon sump with 100gph HOB temporarily substituting a filter sock in conjunction with a Penn Plax 400gph canister. There is a Coralvue Reef Octopus 150sss rated to 210gal, and besides that only a 900gph return pump going to spray bar. I kind of hate my sump right now because everything is making tons of noise, from the skimmer that has yet to break in to the overflow that makes a constant super loud glug-glug-glug. Then there are all the micro bubbles that make it past my bubble wall somehow! That makes it look not too good but oh well. Well, that's a work in progress. At least I do have my remote controlled led lights under and a bright white and lunar led fixture on the tank connected to a smart plug. On my quarantine I have the aquatic life 36" 6 lamp HO T5 fixture, which will make its way to my main aquarium once I build some braces for it to fit over. Then at my school I've put in a 50 gal double-hexagon brackish tank with assorted mollies, and im super happy because they actually had babies! Just wanted to put my system with my ideas and what I've done out to the community. Would love any suggestions, thoughts, ideas, etc.! |
