Rock die off ?
About 2 months ago a localish shop was having some roof leakage problems and was selling off a bunch of tanks/livestock/live rock and I picked up 40ish pounds of live rock he had in a big tub that was ready to sell. I put it in a small brute trash can with a powerhead to move water around and a heater, but I didnt realize it until the other day but the heater wasnt too strong, so Id say the rock spent most of the time at just above room temp (never got below id say 65-68). So a little cooler than what I wanted. I have done a few water changes as well and changed out 70+% after a few weeks. Will this rock be OK to use you think? It doesnt stink that I can tell, but when I checked it the other day there wasnt a lot of surface agitation because the pump had shifted on down into the tub, so there was a little bit of clear film on the surface. Thoughts? Getting ready to set up this tank this week, so need to find some rock if this is questionable

It should be fine, but I'd check Ammonia and Nitrite just to make sure you haven't cause a mini-cycle (not from the temp, but perhaps from oxygen deprivation with no surface agitation).
