Blonde Naso, Nori > Flakes

Got my newly aquired naso finally eating nori aftee a week. Anyone know a good trick to get him to eat flakes/pellets like the other fish in the tank?

I was told a trick by my LFS, but I don't think it mattered for me because my tang is a pig and eats -everything-.

But the LFS told me to put the nori in some RODI water in a container, and put a little bit of garlic in it so it tastes like garlic. Feed that like normal so the taste and smell is something the tang seems used to. Then throw some pellets in the container to soak in the garlic scent and try that.

LFS said that way the fish would recognize it as food because it smells like the Nori. Made sense to me!

Mine ate them after getting used to seeing the other fish eating them. Now it goes after them as soon as they hit the water. Just give it time.

Interesting... I have a naso tang that also will not eat pellets (over 1.5 years). Eats everything else though. Should probably try soaking the food but I keep forgetting to do it. :0)
