Exclamation Having trouble with hang on skimmer help newbie please! 😁

Hi I recently started nano reef on ada tank. Filled with ro/di filtered water, and salt is properly mixed in. So to my main question, I have filter/skimmer which is from coral life. As soon as plugged in, water was over flood everywhere! In the manual could be the air problem when I start fresh so I tried multiple different air input, it's all same! Does anyone own this filter having same problem, or solved? Thanks for the reply advance!

It is not uncommon for a skimmer to overflow when new. They do take some time to break it..
It is always best to wash it with vinegar/water too..
It could also be something in the water which can take some time to filter out.. This is quite common too..
Typically you adjust a skimmer "wide open" to start and let it run like that for a week or more to break in..

And then there is the fact that the coral life skimmer isn't the best either.. Its a pretty inferior skimmer..
