Lighting question for 180ga rimless

So setting up a new 180gallon in the kitchen. I've been throwing around the idea of doing a rimless tank and pendant lights- like Kessils being fabricated into gutted fixtures vs doing a traditional canopy with halides and a chiller. My question is: how much light "spillage" into the room would you get from the pendant lights and how many/spacing of the Kessils would you think I need for a 72"l x 25.5"w x 24"d aquarium?

Depends on the fixture and the mounting height. I wouls think you will need 6-8 Kessil A360's for a tank that size. Have you looked at the Aquatic Life LED/T5 hybrid system? You could get that fixture and use 4 Kessil A360's and have the best of both worlds.
