650 litre total volume new setup ideas and recomendations

Hi all.

I am planning a new new set up as in I have never kept a reef aquarium before, I am planning a 530 litre display tank I have an old 96 litre tank 80x30x40cm which I am going to use as a self built sump. I have the glass already for Baffles just gotta practice cutting the stuff. I also have a 48 litre lidded (with lights) tank that I plan to drill (overflow) and use as a refug.

So onto the questions.

Refug of that size, what would you stock in it I am thinking deep sand bed and cheato/plants, as well as various different little critters, and some live rock

Sump (very open to ideas and suggestions here
obv 1st stop mechanical filtering.. I was thinking of an initial chamber of layered filter sponges with maybe some bioballs in between for good measure, Necessary?
next stop protein skimmer and pumps for refug and reactor manifold,
bubble trap. mini refug possibly, as I have the space, with biobricks and maybe another sand bed with other little critters and such? maybe not sure here,
then return chamber with ATO and AWC,

Reactors. Was thinking Calcium, charcoal, pellets, I could go for another algae reactor here too. are there any you feel unnecessary, any additions, any deletions /swaps, again open to ideas here

space for reactors isnt lacking above sump location,
