Sea Hare- What the.... Worm?

So this is my sea hare doing its thing. For the first time since I got him I noticed that there is a long worm thing coming out of a hole in his butt. Any ideas?

Can you please turn the blue lights up just a bit more?.. That picture was only 99% ridiculous and I'd like to see it really just pushed over the top..
Its ok.. no need to use blue to hide whatever.. We have all been there..

And yes there are worms that live inside the anal cavity of other creatures..

My guess would be poop. Sea hares eat a lot of algae, and poop a lot too.

I loved my sea hare. But once the algae is gone you will need to rehome it.
