Name this piece of equipment please
Hello all, I'm new here but not new to the hobby. I am always on the lookout for people selling equipment that I can use with my setup. So yesterday I purchased a sump and red sea Berlin skimmer from a face book seller. When I picked up the items up it came with this item pictured below. Now the guy selling it said that it was a skimmer but the cup on top has almost a solid bottom. There are no identifiable words on it and there is a rock stuck in it some how. Can anyone identify what this is . Thanks in advance!

Looks like a reactor of some sort.

A really poor design for a protein skimmer. I would put that in the recycling bin

I think that screen is a add on piece Red Sea made available to hold carbon. It nested above the collection cup of the skimmer to filter the air - reducing some smell. I think I have one in a junk box somewhere.
It doesn't actually go to that body. I believe. |

That would make sense. I
So I looked at it and that cup goes on the top of the Berlin skimmer cup. The second skimmer/reactor is missing a part. So I will try to setup the Berlin skimmer for a Seahorse tank for my daughter. Thanks again for all of the replies Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |
