jawbreaker mushroom question

have a jawbreaker mushroom that is starting to grow over the plug hes on, will it continue to grow over sand or do i need to move it to a rock or larger plug?

The disk will continue to grow/expand, but the foot will only grow as large as the hard surface it's growing on (in this case, the frag plug). In many cases, mushrooms will split off baby clones (pedal laceration) as they move across a solid surface and before their foot gets too big (don't know how large of a frag plug your shroom is on).
