Sump tank ideas
My sump tank is 36 x 32 inches by 14 inches tall.
Looking to have a segregated sand area that I will have chaeto in a floating plastic deal that will have pods in them etc snails in the sand turning it. Looking for some ideas on layout of the baffles etc. Appreciate any ideas for efficiency guys here is the first idea I had. Thanks everyone Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

My only suggestion would be to not add sand. Snails or not, it will become detritus sink in short order.
I'm not saying that a remote DSB isn't very useful tool for nitrate reduction. It is. The problem you have is that what area you have will not be large enough to be beneficial.
