Bulkhead issue

I just set up a 115 Aqua Vim 3/4 cylinder tank, with an Ehaim 1262 return pump. When I start the return pump, the bulkhead leaks. When it's off, it stops. I loosened the nut and retightened it, but it still leaks indicated by the yellow arrow in the picture. Im not sure what to do here. Any recommendations?

Likely your bulkhead has cracked. Need to replace before the leak gets worse.

Got a Lifeguard bulkhead, about to install it, but I took the rubber gasket off and when I went to put it back on, I see one side of the gasket is double ribbed, and the other side is smooth. Which side does this go?

I believe the ribbed side goes on the glass,
Gasket does NOT go on the nut side, it will distort.

Over tightening is often the cause of leaks..
Hand tight then 1/4-1/2 turn..
