Good to know. How long was the tank up and running when you got the bloom? During or after you cycled? How long did it take to subside?

Started the tank at the end of June. I had this tank and LR running before but had to stop due to financial issues. Just had LR in saltwater with a pump. So now from July the tank was up and running (clear water). August 6 was may bday and I finally got my nitrates down to 10 PPM, it was super high due to using tap water. Now using RO water. So on the 6th my wife and kids brought me some fish. Within that week I noticed water was starting to get cloudy. So started to do water changes. Water changes was about 15% but I did them every weekend on Sunday. Now on Aug 20th my water is all clear and next week will start running carbon.
