It's been 6 Years. Time to come back to the hobby.
I've done reef/salt for more than 20 years. I sold all my stuff prior to a move. Thinking about getting back in. What's changed in the last 6-7 years? Any equipment to fully automate a reef tank? Best lighting tech out there? Best modern looking tank/enclosure/stand?

Hello, welcome back, will there are a few tanks combos companies now, Red Sea, Water Box and Cade, it seems that the Eco Tech with their XR30Pro5 is a great light, Another nice option is the All In One tanks like the IM 25 Lagoon. Check out Youtube videos on them, very nice tanks, a cheap footprint, allows more money for corals, and the fun factor is for some is going to furniture stores and buying something that would work, yes I think that is fun because you do not need a sump. Good luck and happy reefing.

Im getting back into it after 13 years,: I would say everything has changed. do tons of research on youtube with what todays equipment has to offer, and your options... trust me, your going to want to do a lot of research. they have modular extruded aluminium frames now, the wood is good, but outdated. Im fortunate enough to weld my own frame, and powder coat it. but the real change mostly is ; monitoring equipment, DC return pumps, wave makers, and lighting . besides that dossers have been around, but were never utilized in the marine industry till later...

I’m doing the same! Just setup a user LED aquapod I got for cheap and now I’m looking at putting a 150g in the wall, the equipment may change but the addiction doesn’t! Good luck in your venture back!
