Bashsea skimmers

Anyone use Bashsea skimmers, More expensive than most needlwheels and How noisey and electrical costs? are they really that more efficient? Going on 125 FOwlr system, Thanks.

I use an 8-30. The build quality is fantastic. I used a Blueline 70 (300ish watts) at first because I had the pump, but swapped to a Sicce ADV 10.0 for better energy efficiency and pulls about 90 watts. The drain gurgled a lot at first, but adjusting the plumbing angles got it quiet.

Go with a needle wheel, with all your listed concerns, it’s not worth it.
