I wanna breed a pair of sohal tangs in a nano, how much rock do I need, by the way my nano is a 135 gallong tank nothing like the rest of the tanks here on RC

I agree with you guys I don't get this thread either, I was reading the nano post and it made no sense cause if he wanted to start a nano then why not go to a nano site and ask questions?

the reason hes dissappointed in RC was b/c he posted a thread of how he was converting that tank and said he didnt need his goldfish anymore so he was just going to flush it down the toilet. people told him not to kill it and i guess he didnt like it

Well then that part I did miss, I think I am on RC's side, why kill any animal, send him off to another tank, give him to some one, I wonder how he would like it if some flushed his but down a toilet. I don't think that he would be too happy.

Sam_Sushiro on the other forum:
The goldfish has been relocated to a 10G FW tank.

I think he was joking guys, we should cut him some slack. Although it was a really bad joke, at least he didn't actually do it.

not sure the point of this thread myself, but the opening statement made in the nano-reef thread is funny. i've seen that numerous times over there...R/C is full of snobs...people on R/C are so rude...blah, blah, blah. the reason i don't post over there anymore...there are some real pricks over there. i've seen way more people get flamed on nano-reef then i've ever seen on R/C...oh well, now that i've broken all but 2 of the rules of this board i'm going to shut up...otherwise i'll get banned and be forced to post over on nano-reef.

If people post like that over there, they are kinda right. People here take reefkeeping way too seriously that almost anything will offend somebody. I don't think I'm ever gonna try to crack another joke after my Fish City thread... I'm just gonna stay here for knowledge, I'll take joking elsewhere. Maybe because this is a family site, I don't know.

I have noticed the different' attitudes you get from the different forums here on RC. if you want to talk about small tanks, check out the RC nano forum. you will get better, less agressive advice about your small tanks.... for basic advice this here newbie gallery works well, and if you just want to get flamed, then tell everyone everywhere you have a blue tang in your 12g DX

i was lucky not to get busted on my "slippery dick wrasse" comment in another forum

Well, I think RC is very welcoming and open, although I really am bitter that I have NEVER gotten the little "welcome" gif logo thing with the fish and bubbles.

I've never been welcomed.

Thanks for the comments guys. Im just trying to make my historic debut like so many others I have seen who have great threads for their tanks from the beginning. My previous thread was hi jacked by some not so friendly people here at RC and eventually deleted by RC because of a joke I made about a goldfish. I'll see you on nano-reef.com... I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the mods axe this thread too that's why I didnt put much effort into it. For those of you who care though, I just got the Hagen Master Test kit and my Refractometer via FedEx yesterday, pics to follow...

Sam don't take it to heart I am sure that you will have a great tank, it really doesn't matter how big it is it only matters how much heart you put into it. You have a long way to go in learning. Most of us with Big tanks started just like you. I think that sometimes we forget that.
