ASM G2 Skimmer collection cup lid stuck

Hi all,
I own an ASM G2 and for the life of me I cant get the top off the skimmer cup to clean it. I am able to remove the entire cup. It has been like this for a week now. There is probably something stuck in it. I dont want to pry it off or force it.

Anybody have this problem? Any suggestions?

Thx in advance
Jeff

I seem to have a knack for reviving old threads.

How did it turn out?

I am having the same problem with my G3. I feel like it is going to break each time I finally get it loose. I had to have my wife hold the cup while I spun the lid. I thought it was going to break or I was.

Same problem I had with my g3. After I finally got it off I cleaned it and put it back on but didn't turn it. Worked fine, no leaks.

Same thing I did, just set it on the top.

Has anyone contacted ASM about the issue? Is there a fix, like sanding/filing down the tabs that insert into the cup?

Thanks.

I just snapped off the clips that hold it on.

The only real problem with the ASM skimmers is that they aren't exactly precision quality crafted or anything. Good for the price though.
