etss reef devil deluxe pump

What is the best pump to use for this skimmer? I have a cat1800 that came w/it,but it looks a lil cheesy! I also have an ehiem 1250 and was thing about using that. Any input on this??What pumps do you guys recomend?

What ever you use, use a pressure rated pump. You can use something like a blue line or a iwaki. If you cant use an external pump. Then a mag always works well. Just make sure you get one with the same or just a bit more GPH pump. as the cat 1800. I know many people with the cat 1800 and they have worked well for them. Dont be fooled by the pump. It works very well.

Thanks..that's great news! I have heard good stuff about the cat1800 pump,but i was'nt sure.I'd rater spend my money on something more important at this time.

Now that i think about it,i have an iwaki md100rlt(on the way) that i could plumb off of(using for my return from basement). hmmm,make me think!
