I have a 55g tank with some lps and shrooms and i need a cheap, efficient, and easy to use skimmer. What would you recomend

well for cheap and easy I would say the aqua c remora. Some people on this site dont like it but it is a decent skimmer none the less.

I bought an Excalibur and it works great! It ran about $115.00.

Do you haved a sump? If so an ASM would be a fine choice. I am one of the people who wouldn't use a Remora. I had a Remora Pro, loud and skimmed poorly.

I'm looking to get a better skimmer. Cuz the one my LFS recommended me buy for 120 bucks is a piece of junk. My collection cup hasn't filled once.
