which bulbs put out more PAR?
do actinic or 10k bulbs put out more PAR? I heard that PAR is the most important aspect for the corals and i just bough a T-5 fixture and i am going to buy the bulbs next and i heard that the more blue the color the more PAR? Is there truth in this statement?

color of the bulb and par rating are not related really. You can have a 10k bulb with good par, and a 10k bulb with poor par. What you do want is a good mix of spectrum and a good par rating. How many bulbs does your T5 kit hold? I would suggest one daylight/sun, 1 blue, and one blue plus, and then one more bulb for a four bulb kit (day if you light white, blue if you like white/blue, or blue plus if you like bluish). For the six bulb kit I would just do 2, 2, 2.

for t5ho, the General Electric 6500k daybulb is the king of PAR value. the next best is the ati/ d&D 11k aquablue
i think the ati/d&d sun comes in next in line. after that its all about color, not par
