mushroom question
I bought a peice of live rock 2 days ago with a 2 inch mushroom on it. I placed it in my tank about 8 inches from the top...since then the mushroom has decided it likes it better on my sand bed...this was a deliberate move (it took 2 days to get there)
in your experience, do mushrooms move like this and should I let it go where it wants too??

Mushrooms will move if they are getting too much light, Too crowded or too much flow.
It sounds like yours was not crowded....Sounds like it was too close to the lights. They will move so not to worry. They are a lower light animal and should be placed closer to the bottom but usually on a rock is better than on your sand. |

IMO, Shrooms like lower flow and lower light levels. My shrooms are fuller than ever being on the bottom out of main flow.
