Question Plenum System

I am thinking of putting a plenum system in my current reef tank. I have a 2-3" aragonite sand on the bottom and after reading one of the Bob Goemans books, I think this may help with my water issues (Nitrate).

Does anyone have a plenum system? if so what do you think? Is it beneficial.

You won't find many people with a plenum anymore. The DSB took hold several years ago and became far more popular than a plenum ever was. More recently barebottom tanks have had an increase in popularity.
