Squirt plumbing with vinyl tubing?

I'm in a process of setting up a new tank and would like to install either a squirt or super squirt but here's my question. I always see people plumb the squirt with hard plumbing. I never saw anyone's setup using vinyl tubings at all. I mean, is it doable? Will it create problems eventually? Is it because of the high pressure people tend to use hard plumbing? Your feedback is needed and appreciated. Thanks all.
