Slimey LR?

I did a little sump vacumming and removed the LR I have weighting down a 5 gal bucket that the return pump draws from. 1 piece of rock in there has a really nasty slime coating all over it, none of the other rock in there did.

Any ideas why one piece of rock would be so slimey? Never encountered this before.
