Bad Suction Cups! Bad!

How do you get your MJ's to stay up if the suction cups start to fail. I came home to a fairly cloudy tank last night, after My MJ's cups came loose.

Is there any other way to mount them without the over-the-lip bracket?

I've positioned the cord so it would get hung up or basically give them no slack, so if they fell it wouldn't tip terribly downward and stir the sand.

I like those brackets alot. Only problem is my MJ's are positioned lower than 5" from the top.

I usually replace the cups every 4 mos or so when I overhaul the pumps. Need to make sure the glass is nice n clean too when you stick em back in. Works well for me.
