kalk reactor?

do I need a kalk reactor if I have a calcium reator ?

They do very different things. What are your levels? Do you have a skimmer?

Jackass,

I think they pretty much answered your question in your other thread. A kalk reactor is often used in combination with a calcium reactor in order to raise your PH back to normal levels as a calcium reactor can drive it down. It's all about balance. I'd say if you have a calcium reactor which really can increase coral growth and your PH is between 8.1-8.3ish than you don't need kalkwasser.

Many people use kalkwasser for topoff water. You don't necessarily even need a reactor to add kalk to your tank. You can mix a little at a time and dose it. Pickling lime just settles very quickly so give it some love and stir it alot.
