Ok heres my 55g Reef

Here are some picture of my 55g Reef. I combined 2 tanks so all and all its been going for about 1 year.

Specs
55 Reef ~ 2x150w MH ~ 2x96w Actinic Power PC ~ Whisper 60 ~ Coralife Super Skimmer ~ Jebo 36w UV ~ 2 MaxxJet 1200 ~ PowerSweep 212 ~ 15g Sump/Fug(needs to be hooked up) ~ 110+#LR ~ 30#LS ~ HUGE clean up crew~ Green Spotted Mandarin ~ Fire Clown ~ Percula Clown ~ Sm.Hippo Tang(temp) ~ Sm.Yellow Tang(temp) ~ Velvet Damsel ~ Long Nose Filefish ~ 2 Skunk Cleaners ~ 2 Fire Cleaners ~ Saron Shrimp ~ 5 Peppermints ~ Tiger Pistol Shrimp ~ 5 Emeralds ~ Huge Purple Montipora ~ Bubble Coral ~ 4 branches Green Frogspawn ~ Pagoda Branch ~ Pagoda Cup ~ Finger Leather ~ Orange Sand Polyps ~ Tons of Xenia ~ 20+ Mushrooms ~ Yellow Gorgonian ~ Flame Scallop ~ Green BTA ~ Green/Blue Carpet ~

i see you have a coralife turbo skimmer...right?

Yes I do I just got is yesterday for my birthday and the collection cup is already filled up. I had a seaclone boy what a difference.

Also I just got a CPR HOB Overflow and I have a 15g and a mag 7 pump with all the tubing and valves and everything I just need some help setting it up any input would help. TIA

i have been installing these at my job on various tanks recently. these babies are the wave of the future!

just remember set it low at first, so low you dont think it will collect anything then wait 24 hours. if no improvment turn it up a bit (not too much ..it will still looklike it is too low)and again wait. do this over and over until it collects. this ensures proper setting and a setting that makes it the most effiecient. it is improper to immediatly set it so it is collecting foam/water in cup. it need to break in and most people tend to set them too high at first. be patient when waiting.

is that blue and yellow fish a filefish? What does it eat? i thought they only eat coral

Current Tank Info: 75g reef ready with 40 gallon trigger sump/refugium , tunze power head, vectra 2 return pump, Kessil AP9X lighting, reef octopus skimmer and have a battery back for both pumps.

Yes it is a Orange Spotted File Fish I have it eating frozen brine and mysis and live brine. It doesnt mess with anything. I am selling it in the selling forum if interested. He is just getting to big. Hey Eddie I have off on monday I am going to try and set it up I will pm you when I get off work tonight around 11 and let you know my plans and what I have thank you for responding.
