Temp Controller??

Hey Just wondering If anyone had any experience with placing a chiller outside??
I just moved a chiller outside the house about 20ft away from where the tank sits- The Chiller is 1/3hp Current Prime Chiller- The controller that came with it is a single stage Ranco Controller, The chiller has an option to run the sensor inside a port placed inside the chiller- the problem I'm having is that the tank thermometer and the Chiller temp controller are reading different temperatures, and the chiller wants to stay on the whole day- This problem only happens during daylight hours, the chiller is well ventilated, but I still beleive that the sensor is picking up some internal heat from the chiller- Is there anyway to extend the wire from the Temp controller to the sensor about 20-30 so it is able to read the temperature inside the sump??
