AquaFuge Hang-On Refugium, should I paint it black?
I am installing a AquaFuge Hang-On Refugium onto the back of my 90 gallon reef tank. I am thinking I should paint the outside back black (like I did on my main tank) to keep more of the light in (it is against the wall so I can not see the back of it anyway. Is there any reason not to do this? Another reason is if I keep the light over the AquaFuge Hang-On Refugium 24/7 it my not look so bad when my promary lights are off. Thoughts???
One other question is I am planning to use the mud in the refugium, how deep should I go? I was thinking a couple of inches???

I think painting that black would help a little. However, using some blockers/shades down off the side of the light extending all the way down to the aquafuge would be the biggest help. That wouldn't let any light spillage out over the edges and into your room.
