Maximum height for a 60g cube stand?
I noticed that most stands I see for a 60g cube are 30". I want to design my own stand for an upcoming tank, but I was hoping to go about 40". Does this seem too tall and unstable?

i would think 40" is well with in reason. even with lower stands i tend to over-build them anyways so as long as you have a nice stable design it should be fine.

I am kinda concerned with it being too top heavy. Since we haven't had a decent quake down here for a while, we are probably due.
I wonder if there is a way to fasten the tank to the wall to "quake proof" it. |

40 seems a bit tall, but i know someone that just built one taller than 40.
Will the primary viewer be sitting or standing? I think that is really the primary factor. Josh |

especially with the cube shape, i cant imagine a problem with it being top heavy. my current stand is in the 36" range and it has taken a few shakes from quakes over the years.

You'll have to have a ladder to work in the tank since the top of the cube will be 6' tall.
