Day 6
finally got some more fish in today. The chromis was move back to its original tank to make room for the new arrivals. The clown came in pretty bad shape, after two hours slow acclimation it looks a little better, I can only hope it survive the night. The tiny lion fish is too small for my other tanks, so this were it has to stay for the time been. The water was crystal clear this morning, the oil slik on the surface of the water from feeding P.E. mysid yesterday was all but gone. |

Day 7
Well, lost one clown overnight, couldn't save it, at least I'll get my money back from the supplyer. There were some protein bubbles on the top this morning, after I feed some coral steimuate within 20 minutes the protein bubbles were gone. The lion is starting looking for food, but it won't take the forzen mysid yet, so I'll have to try some live brine today. |

nice little tank I had no idea that you could do a saltwater on that small of a scale.
Is that a little box filter you go in there? and what is in it?

You realy shouldn't have that lionfish in there. They grow way too big for a tank that size!
And you're going to want to add some live sand and some live rock. It will help with your filtration, and you realy shouldn't have added any fish untill they cycle has finished. I wouldn't be surprised of you lose more fish.

ah this guy's screwed.
firstly, that's too small of a tank for more than one tiny fish. why? there is a ton of information out there telling you why. wetwebmedia.com would be the best resource. advice: sell all the fish back to the store you got it from, add sand and seed it with someone's live sand. Add some nice live rock. Run the tank without any animals for a month. Then get a cleanup crew and add a small fish only. goodluck. |

holy.... it looked ok at the top of the page, then i started to scroll down and wonder about if the tank was cycled or not... but the pic with the 2 clowns, a cardinal and lion in the tank in under a week was the clincher.... So..... as stated above... anything still alive?

It seems like this thread is a trap meant to enrage people, maybe not but it seems very odd for RC. As mentioned I would lower that fish load and also move the heater closer to your filter so it would get a little better circulation around it.

Yeah can we say HOLLY RUSHIN IT!!!!.... Cycle will turn full circle and kick you in the &*%. You will see.. Should take back what you can and save their lives now. Or find someone to hold them till the tank cycles.
That and find the Lion a new home.

Yes, need some circulation. A small HOB filter would be best in that setup. Get ride of the air driven filter.

putting a lot of work into making fun of us, and a lot of fish's lives at stake.
Perhaps it's a QT and he's just messing with us as he waits for these fish to grow a bit stronger to put into a larger tank. He does mention he has a larger tank. not sure why his corals are still alive in a QT. |
