Does anyone have experience with aquauniverses T 5 lighting???

No ....but I wouldnt recommend them. Tek makes the only readily available fixture in North America that has quality individual reflectors (which is the reason people are having great success with T5)
For Retro ICECAP SLR and www.aqualuxlighting.com make a slightly better reflector then what comes with a TEK even. For bulbs get ATI/D&D ....aquablue and blue+. Get the good stuff and dont be dissapointed.

how many lights would i need on a 72 bow front? would 6 do the trick and keep my options open? what about moon lighting?

6 over your 72 would be good with SPS/LPS clams. 4 would be good for a LPS softie tank.
