What to use instead of a Wet/DRY ?

I have a 75 agallon reef tank and have been using a wet/dry filter under neeth for sump..

Well you know really only have half the wet/dry for your insump use. Currently i have a insump protein skimmer with pump...Jebo UV sterilizer (hang on) with pump in sump...there is no room left and its jammed pack.

I was wondering what a suggestion woyuld be to give me more room.

Can I use like a 20/30 gallon tank for a sump? Then just put some live rock in it for bio??

Thanks for any help.

You can use a glaas tank and silicone in acrylic baffles like you want. Here is a link with some ideas for designs:

FWIW you don't need liverock in the sump unless you just want a place for pods etc... to grow. If you remove the bioballs from your wet dry will that give you the room you need? Bioballs aren't needed(or IMO desired) in a reef tank with live rock.

With enough LR, you shouldn't need the bio filtration of a wet/dry.

Aquarium silicone works well. Here is my sump:

It's a 30 gallon tank with acrylic baffles siliconed in place.

The first set of three baffles is to reduce microbubbles. The second single baffle with the slots cut out is to seperate the fuge from the return pump area. The slots are to help keep snails out of that area.

And by the way if no one has done this allready:
