My guess is that it would with the proper Kelvin rated bulb

Your 2nd link did not work, but why not get a small flourescent fixture(12-18") then you can get a bulb with the correct kelvin

I’m just using three standard Philips florescent light bulbs, the ones they call natural sunshine in standard Home Depot light fixtures. They work perfect for growing algae, they are cheap and you can buy them anywhere.

I looked at some of the fixtures and one of them looks decent but I still do not now how you will mount or length you need. I use one similar to the one (52-4066-6 24" lamp) at the website, mine is mounted to a wooden canopy.
