am i using to much light

Hey guys i got a hair alge problem and i have done tons of water changes, turned lights back, changed light blubs, changed ro filters. but the alge has taken control and growing way to fast, i pull tons by hand every week. do you guys think i have way to much lights. i got 3 400w MH lights with 4 65w actinic blues. tell me what u guys think.

oh yea my tank is 180 gallons 2x2x6

Trying to pin down a HA problem can be a real pain in the buttocks. How long are your MHs on? How many fish do you have? How often do you feed? Are you using RO/DI water? The list of questions can go on and on.

Sorry kids, your college fund is gone, but the tank looks SWEET right?

Current Tank Info: 150gal mixed reef. ER CS135, 65gal sump/fuge with a Mag12 return. (2) Korillia 4s, (1) modded MJ1200, two SunSun 3200gph powerheads. 250+lbs LR.

Your light wont have the algae grow and grow, it is continuing to grow from either Phosphates and alot of excess nutrients.

i got 2 phosbans on the system. it hasnt slowed down the agle, kinda weird. Is it going to be one of those thing i am going to have to ride out.

i just tested the ro water and it is reading 42ppm

That would be a bad wow. It needs to be zero or pretty darn close to it.
