not sure what to do...
I have been traveling for about 3 months now...I left my 30 gallon saltwater tank in the hands of a family member...
First, just to let you know.. I have 2 clownfish, one damsel and a curly que anemone. I got home today and i have purple and green algae all over the place.... the green looks like hair on my live rock and the purple looks like carpet on the sand....I also have some sort of plant groing from one of the rocks. Aside from the tank looking nasty and the curly que looking kinda sad..the fish seem ok.. what is the best way to get rid of all of that algae.. any tips would be appreciated |

First, test your water parameters and tell us what they are. The suggestion of increasing the cleanup crew might be a good choice, but there may be an underlying problem

Since they were left in the hands of others, I would test the list below. Water changes and upping the cleanup crew will probably help. Also, how old are your bulbs? Could they have shifted colors while you were gone?
pH Alkalinity Calcium Ammonia Nitrites Nitrates Phosphates

Phosphates would also be good. If you don't test for it, we're just gonna assume it's too high, since you have algae.
