Sequence barracuda
I was just wondering if someone could give me some input on the Sequence barracuda external water pump. I am planning on buying one and want to know peoples opinion.
How is the quality? Does it have good flow? Is $250.00 a good price? Is it quite? Any other input would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced. |

They are a very good pump. But you must make sure that you plumb it in a way that will compliment the pump. It is a rather low head pressure pump, so if possible I would plumb it with 2" pipe to the intake and 2" pipe from the output. Personally I would not use this pump if the head pressure was going to be more than about 12" because this pump has a turn off height of 18". Put this pump in a situation where it has the least amount of restriction and you are going to have a ton of flow!
The pump is pretty darn quiet, just a very low hum that is barely audible if the pump is place inside a tank stand. $250 is generally the going price for the barracuda.
