how often to feed corals...?

i have mostly LPS and soft corals... i only target feed blastomussa and candy canes... i used to target feed frogspawn and hammer but it takes them so long to eat the food... the cleaner shrimps always end up taking the food from them... i do not target feed the frogspawn and the hammer anymore... but my question is, is feeding the blastomussa and candy canes once every two weeks enough...? i used to feed 2-3 times a week but i am battling nitrates ever since the tank has been set up... it is only now that i am starting to see improvements on my nitrate situation, but i had to greatly reduce the feedings of corals and fishes...
