Question RO/DI Unit what's good out there?

I will be setting up one to put in my garage very soon. I was wondering what would be the best model to get? I only need one that I coud get 20 to 30 gallons a week, and I don't want to go over $300.00.

Well most agree that www.airwaterice.com is probably the best. Typhoon III is great product but its 75 gpd, only $200. I dont think your gonna find a 30 gal pwer week unit. Just use it to get the amount you need then leave it until you need it again.

best unit for the money must be the one from ebay
the link...
http://cgi.ebay.ca/AQUARIUM-2-110GPD...QQcmdZViewItem

many people here are using it, including me and they all love it...can't go wrong with $100...get an extra bag of di resin so you save on shipping

Whether or not that is the best unit for the money is debatable, but I will not comment further on that as it has been beaten to death already.
I will say that the GE membrane on that unit is not as effective as the DOW membrane in the Typhoon III; that is a fact, though the advertising on ebay leads you to think otherwise. Another point on the ebay unit - the horizontal DI cartridges are more prone to the channeling effect which you don't want. You could end up mounting the unit sideways or add a vertical DI chamber to the unit to help with that though.

eee

sorry I will rephrase....Its the cheapest unit that will do a good enough job....
also what I do to prevent the channeling effect is add little bit of resin into the cartildges after sometime...the cartidges easily unscrew so that is not a hassle at all
