Alternative to Chaeto?
I wanted to get some chaeto for my sump, but can't get any of the online stores to send it to CA. I have tried to get caulerpa as well--also illegal. Is there a legal-to-CA alternative?

I belong to a local club. I'm sure if you were a member you could get some other member to give you some. We are meeting this Friday. http://marineaquarist.org ~Steve~

yogisfriend, you may want to double check the laws. I don't believe that all species of Caulerpa are banned in California, but I might be wrong. Definitely double check with your nearest reef club. If you feel it's too far of a drive, then see if someone will meet you half way.

I don't mind the drive--I go that far to buy milk! I live in a very small town. I'm going to try to make it to the Sacramento club this Friday.
I have tried to order chaeto and caulerpa off several sites and they refuse. I am going to try the site mentioned by jetaero later today.
