Plankton Shear?

WHAT ARE YOU THOUGHTS OF PLANKTON SHEAR? RECENTLY READ IN A BOOK THAT POWERS IN A DISPLAY TANK/REFUGIUM WILL KILL PLANKTON THAT PASSES THROUGH THE POWER HEADS IMPELLERS. DOESN'T THIS PRESENT A PROBLEM--IT PREVENT PLANKTON FROM ENTERING THE REFUGIUM

Are you shouting at me? But seriously. the incredibly small plankton will not all be destroyed. Most of them will be able to pass through unscathed.
